A column of black smoke was visible everywhere.
Military. Civilians. Danger as it stands. Dozens of air raids. Dozens of bombardments. Every hour. Every hour."

Background:
- President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that Russia failed to approve any of the options offered by Ukraine in order to save the Ukrainian military personnel in Mariupol.
- The number of seriously wounded Ukrainian soldiers increased on 10 May following an air raid and an assault on Azovstal by the Russians. Commanders urged that the process of evacuating the wounded should not be delayed because they require medical assistance as soon as possible.
- Azov said that the defenders of the besieged city of Mariupol had four options for action, but the only acceptable option was to fight. They also believe that captivity would mean death for the Ukrainian soldiers.
