One of Crimean Tatar leaders, Dzhemiliev, talked about "psychosis" in Crimea, abducted Ukrainians in jail, sale of looted items

People abducted by the Russian military in Ukraine are being taken to Crimea. On the occupied peninsula, Russia has been underestimating the number of dead. Water from the Dnipro River is not yet going to Crimea. Property looted from Ukrainians is being put up for sale.

Quote: "In Crimea, there is the same military psychosis as in Russia, but probably with some peculiarities. Yesterday I was told that all institutions, businesses, schools, and school principals were instructed to write regular posts on Facebook in support of Putin and in support of the "special operation". And the Federal Security Service is closely monitoring the implementation of the plan.

There are reports that bodies of soldiers mobilised from Crimea have been coming back, but the authorities are giving reduced figures on the loss of soldiers. They (the authorities) have a pragmatic goal for doing so: each soldier is allocated a certain sum of money - if there is no soldier, these funds remain in the pockets of the military Command, so the numbers reported have been significantly reduced".

Details: According to Dzhemiliev, many people are trying to avoid mobilisation. But it is difficult to leave the peninsula, and it is also dangerous to surrender, because behind them there are "Wagner" fighters [a private company of mercenaries used by the Russians - ed?] and "Kadyrovites" [the Chechen leader Ramzan Kadyrov's private militia), who shoot deserters.

Meanwhile, many prisoners have been transferred from pre-trial detention centres that are now being filled with people who have been "arrested" in the occupied territories of Ukraine: Melitopol and the Kherson region.

"They say that there is a lot of torture, but there are no details," Dzhemiliev said.

There is information that many cars with Ukrainian licence plates are being put up for sale in Crimea, as are refrigerators, telephones, TV sets, and people buy them because "prices are low".

There are large fines for making statements against the war. 

Quote: "As for water: although it was said that water was now flowing into the North Crimean canal, there is still a long way to go to restore this canal, so not a drop of water is coming from the North Crimean canal. But there was a lot of rainfall in Crimea, so, there is enough drinking water, but there is no irrigation in the northern part of the peninsula. 

It is strictly forbidden to dig artesian wells. In fact, you can get a special permit from the Federal Security Service, but it's very expensive: in addition to the official fee, you will have to pay large bribes to FSS officers."
