Regions: Russians make no gains in the Izyum and Popasna fronts, the invaders struck the Kirovograd region

Last night, Russian troops attacked the Kirovohrad region. Fighting continues on the Izyum front in the Kharkiv region, Russia's offensive in the direction of the cities of Popasnaya and Severodonetsk in the Luhansk region is unsuccessful, and the humanitarian situation in the Kherson region is deteriorating.

Kharkiv: Russian occupiers continued to shell residential areas through the night.
Skirmishes continue on the Izyum front. There have been no gains for Russian forces. Ukrainian Armed Forces are holding their positions.
Work continues to clear liberated territories in the Izyum district of debris and explosives.
The evacuation of civilians continues from the cities of Barvinkove and Lozova.
Luhansk Region: Russian occupiers continue to destroy civilian infrastructure, launching missile and artillery strikes on roads, stations, residential areas and sites where civilians are being evacuated from areas affected by hostilities. Details of the destruction and numbers of casualties are currently being clarified.
The Russian invaders continue their offensive in the direction of the cities of Popasna and Severodonetsk. They have not made any gains.
Donetsk region: the settlements of Avdiivka, Kurakhove, Maryinka, Krasnohorivka, Toretsk and Ocheretyn are being shelled. There are wounded in almost every one of these settlements - information about the numbers of these is being clarified.
Mariupol – there is no material change.
Shelling is ongoing in the centre and the north of Donetsk region.
The death toll at Kramatorsk railway station has risen to 52 , another 109 people are injured.
In the Kherson region, there have been powerful explosions and shelling by "Grad" multiple rocket launchers on the outskirts of the city.
"The situation in the region is becoming increasingly critical," the Regional Military Administration said.
It is currently impossible to establish information on the number of victims and the extent of the damage.
According to preliminary data, more than 15% of people have left the city of Kherson alone. Nearly one in five residents has fled occupied villages.
In the Kirovohrad region on the evening of 8 April, at about 10 pm, there was a strike in the region. According to preliminary information, there are no significant consequences, the data are being checked.
The night was relatively calm in many regions of Ukraine: in Volyn, Zakarpattia, Dnipropetrovsk, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Khmelnytsky, Kyiv, Odessa, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Zaporizhia, Ternopil, Chernihiv, Zhytomyr, Chernihiv, Sumy and Poltava regions.
