Update from the General Staff: Russian invaders storm Donetsk and move units to the east

The Russian army is carrying out assault operations on the Donetsk front and is moving units into Donbas.

Quote: "The occupiers continue to prepare for the offensive in the east of our country in order to establish full control over Donetsk and Luhansk region territory.

In the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, defenders of Ukraine repulsed seven enemy attacks, destroyed nine tanks, seven armoured vehicles and five motor vehicles belonging to the enemy."

Details: There were no changes in the position and actions of the Russians on the Volyn front.

Russian forces did not take active action on the Polissya front. Some units that were withdrawn from the territory of Ukraine continue to be located on Belarusian soil.

According to the information available, in order to regroup troops, the Russian invaders are moving units of the 35th General Army of the Eastern Military District and the 76th Airborne Assault Division of the Airborne Forces of the Russian Armed Forces to the Belgorod and Voronezh regions of Russia.

On the Siversk front, the Russian invaders are finishing the regrouping of forces in the Briansk and Kursk regions and restoring combat capability of units of the Central Military District, as well as relocating individual units from the 41st General Army and 90th Tank Division to the Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

On the Slobozhanske front, Russian invaders are continuing intense shelling and a partial blockade of the city of Kharkiv. They are increasing electronic reconnaissance operations. Russian armed forces have set up field camps in the Belgorod region of the Russian Federation for units relocated from other operational areas.

On the Izyum front, Russian invaders launched an offensive towards the settlements of Brazhkivka and Sulyhivka, without success.

The invaders continue to assault the Donetsk front. The main efforts are focused on taking control of the settlements of Rubizhne, Nyzhne, Popasna and Novobakhmutivka and establishing full control over the city of Mariupol.

In the South Bug front, the invaders intensified reconnaissance. They carried out artillery shelling of the settlements of Marianske, Novovorontsovka, Novohryhorivka and Shevchenkove.

The invaders continue to launch missile strikes on settlements in the Odesa region from the Crimean Peninsula.

The Ukrainian Air Force hit four air targets in the past 24 hours: two helicopters, one UAV and one cruise missile. The information is currently being confirmed.
