Russians has forcibly deported civilians from Rubizhne to Russia

Russian military personnel have forcibly deported residents of Rubizhne, a town in the Luhansk region, to Russia.

Quote: "My mother and my two brothers spent more than four weeks in the basement in Rubizhne along with 2 other families (2 adults and 5 children) with minimal food and water. It was almost impossible to evacuate from their part of the city due to constant shelling and explosions. She rarely reached out to say she was alive.

On 31 March, I lost contact with them. On 7 April, she called to say that they were being transported to Russia, and she did not know how she would get in touch. Then she lost contact."

Details: A woman called at 5:40 am on 8 April and very briefly announced that they were transported to the Leningrad region. About 100 people were taken by train to some sort of work.

Quote from a local resident: "My mother was told that they were lucky, because right before that 300 people were sent to Siberia from that location. Now she has been in touch and she said that they were supposed to be taken from Lekhaya station in the town of Kamyansk, Rostov region, to Kursk. However, then the direction changed, and now they have been taken to the Leningrad region."

Details: The deported residents of Rubizhne were given food, tea, "Mivina" potato puree on the train, and children were given biscuits.

The last time the woman was able to shower was on 8 March, because "water was like gold dust."

Resident forcibly deported from Rubizhne, quote: "I was cooking food with what I had for 15 people under shellfire near the basement of my house. I have buried 5 people in the yard and twice God saved me from shrapnel. Now we go by train and we are terrified of every sound, I can't believe they are not shooting."
