Luhansk Region: Russians pound Zolote and Hirske all night long - head of Regional Military Administration

The settlements of Zolote and Hirske in the Luhansk region were shelled by Russian forces from the evening of 6 April until the following morning, with shelling also targeting a hospital in Sievierodonetsk and houses in Lysychansk.

According to Haidai: "...the Russians have no regard for civilians - in shelling blocks of 'strategic' residential buildings in Rubizhne and Sievierodonetsk, and no less destruction in Popasna and the municipality of Hirske.

This area is being wiped out by the enemy, gradually destroying the towns of Zolote and Hirske. The shelling of these settlements began in the evening of 6 April, lasted all night and is still going on.

There is a great deal of destruction, both of residential properties and infrastructure. Rescue teams are still working on it."

Details: Haidai reported that the Russians had failed to enter Novotoshkivska but shelled a hospital in Sievierodonetsk and houses in Lysychansk.

There is damage to residential buildings in Lysychansk, and farm buildings in Lysychansk, Sievierodonetsk, Novodruzhesk and Toshkivtsi have also been destroyed.

Overnight, firefighters battled with the elements after a fire broke out on the roof of a hospital in Sievierodonetsk.

A total of nine attacks by Russian forces were repelled on the front line, the head of Luhansk Region said: six tanks, five armoured vehicles and six motor vehicles, as well as four artillery systems were destroyed.
