Quote: "Basically, everywhere the Russian army has been, we see the same situation: there is no city where there are no victims; there is no village where there is no destruction.
This tells you something about the Russian army’s general approach to how they conduct hostilities, and what their attitude is towards the civilian population and looting…
Hundreds of people are missing."
Details: Monastyrskyi announced the opening of a 24-hour National Police "helpline" for relatives of those killed in the hostilities by Russia.
By calling 0 894 201 867, they can reach operators who are ready to provide the advice they need and clarification of the burial procedure.
The Minister asked Ukrainians to help the investigation identify dead citizens or those who have been forcibly deported from Ukraine to Belarus.
Monastyrskyi also called on citizens who want to take part in dealing with the consequences of Russia's attack on Ukraine to join volunteer civil defence groups. The volunteer questionnaire can be filled out on the official website of the State Emergency Services of Ukraine.
Quote: "We need such a front, because the sooner we can clear away the rubble, the more we will know about the crimes committed in these regions."
Regarding the demining of settlements in the Kyiv oblast, the Minister noted that the situation remained difficult.
Every day, rescuers find between 4,000 and 5,000 explosive devices in the capital region.
Taking into account international approaches, Monastyrskyi noted that one day of active hostilities is equal to a month of demining.
