The occupiers have abducted the wife of a Ukrainian soldier in the Zaporizhzhia region

Russian occupying forces have abducted the wife of a Ukrainian serviceman in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Details: According to the investigation, on 5 April, 2022, representatives of the Russian army abducted a citizen of Ukraine in order to put psychological pressure on her husband, who is fighting in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

By threatening to torture this woman and harm her life and health, the occupiers tried to force him to violate the military oath of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. 

The Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office provides procedural guidance in criminal proceedings on violations of the laws and customs of war.

According to the General Prosecutor’s Office, there are also many cases of abduction of law enforcement officers by Russian servicemen in the temporarily occupied territories of the Zaporizhzhia  region.
