4-year-old Sashko was found dead in the Kyiv region. He had been missing since mid-March.

The boy disappeared after he and his grandmother tried to evacuate from the Vyshhorod district.

His mother Anna shared the tragic news on Instagram.

"I am grateful to everyone who believed, who helped in the search. I thank everyone for your prayers and faith, thank you for your support.

Thanks to you, my son met me. Sasha, our little angel, is already in heaven! Today his soul has found peace," she wrote.

Sasha was with his grandmother in the Vyshhorod district of the Kyiv region when the full-scale war began.

Russian aggressors bombed the village, blew up bridges and blocked roads, said singer Oleksandr Ponomaryov.

Then local residents decided to evacuate children and women by boats towards the village of Rovzhy.

On 10 March, two boats were supposed to cross the Kyiv Sea, but one of them turned over.

Sashko was in that boat.

Rescuers later found Sashko's grandmother's body, but there was no information about the boy and so his family continued their search.

The parents hoped that Sashko survived because he was wearing a life jacket.

Unfortunately, the little boy did not make it.
