The vermin have left, but they've mined everything in the area: roads in Chernihiv Region are still very dangerous

In the Chernihiv region work continues to clear the roads of mines, and local residents should refrain from travelling in the region for the time being

According to Chaus: "We have a lot of work to do, and there are a lot of booby-trapped roads, a lot of broken communications across the region, and many blown-up bridges. Right now motorway maintenance teams, the armed forces and the administration are engaged in providing and organising routes throughout the whole area, so that we can resume normal traffic and get to every corner of the Chernihiv region as soon as possible.

An appeal to all residents of the region, especially where Russian tanks were positioned: the 'Moskal' (Russkies - ed.) vermin have left, but they have mined everything in the area... So I have a big request - be patient and wait for the Armed Forces, engineers and EOD technicians from the Ukrainian Armed Forces to clear the mines. This is very important, because we have to avoid more casualties."

Background: After a proposal for an agreement on a new system of security guarantees for Ukraine was voiced by Kyiv officials, Russia decided to "drastically reduce combat operations" on the Kyiv and Chernihiv fronts.

The invaders began to withdraw their troops towards Belarus. The Ukrainian Defence Forces also pushed back the invaders and mopped up the area. On 3 April, Ukrainian airborne assault units took control of the Ukrainian-Belarusian border section near Prypiat, Kyiv Region.

At the same time, Ukraine is aware that the Russian forces are regrouping and will try to intensify their offensive in the east in southern Ukraine.
