340 bodies found in Bucha so far, search continues

In Bucha, which has been liberated from the Russian occupying troops, 330-340 civilians killed by the Russian troops have now been buried.

According to Bucha funeral service: "We collected 15 bodies from Yablunska street whose hands had been tied and who had been shot in the head. Today [on 3 April] we found 30 bodies."

Details: A funeral service worker clarified that in total, 330-340 bodies have already been found in Bucha, but said that there were more.

According to Serhiy, a Bucha funeral service worker: "We can’t keep up. Tomorrow we have to visit at least 20 more addresses. Many people are buried in courtyards and allotments. We can’t say the exact number. We don’t have complete lists yet. We have already buried around 350 people, at least."

  • On 1 April, Anatoliy Fedoruk, the Mayor of Bucha, announced that the city had been liberated from the Russian occupying forces.
  • On 2 April, Fedoruk said that a mass grave had been found where almost 300 people are buried. Dozens of corpses lie on the streets, some of them with their hands tied behind their backs.
