The authorities will try to evacuate people from Mariupol and Berdiansk to Zaporizhzhia as well as towns in the Luhansk region, on Sunday, 3 April.

According to Vereshchuk: "Today (3 April - ed.) we shall continue to work on the evacuation of people through a humanitarian corridor from Mariupol to Zaporizhzhia.

There are currently 17 buses near Berdiansk.

Ten of them are for the evacuation of Mariupol residents and residents of Berdiansk.

If the buses are not allowed to pass into the city, we are asking people to go to the checkpoint at the entrance to the city. They will be waiting for you there".

Details: She said 7 buses will try to pass closer to Mariupol accompanied by the International Committee of the Red Cross.

It is also possible for people to travel in their own vehicles along the corridor from Mariupol to Zaporizhzhia.

There are also plans to evacuate people from the towns of Sievierodonetsk, Popasna, Lysychansk, Rubizhne and the village of Nyzhnie in the Luhansk Region on 3 April. The authorities are currently waiting for a ceasefire to be observed by the occupying forces.
