Russians shell school in Severodonetsk, authorities call on residents to evacuate

On the morning of 29 April, the Russian occupiers fired artillery at Severodonetsk, setting fire to the school building.

Quote: " This morning the Russian army launched an artillery strike on the city. After the shell hit, the building of the secondary school caught fire. Rescuers reached the scene promptly and put out the fire."
Details: The head of the region shared a photo of the damaged school and called on residents to evacuate as soon as possible by any means, even if it meant taking a hearse.

Quote: "Evacuate faster: we are still sending out buses and humanitarian aid, and not long ago we even started sending out hearses too. The five evacuation routes remain as before: Severodonetsk, Lysychansk, Rubizhne, Popasna, Hirske."
Details: The regional head noted that on 28 April an attempt to reach Rubizhne failed again because it was "difficult and dangerous". It is also not always possible to break through to the towns of Popasna and Hirske. But the authorities will continue their efforts to send buses and evacuate people from dangerous areas.
