Another infant and a teenager found killed by Russian soldiers since 24 February; 5 more children wounded

The officially confirmed number of Ukrainian children killed by Russian troops since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion in Ukraine has reached 219, and the number of children who had been wounded has reached 398.

Details: It became known that during the first week of March a mine exploded beneath a car on the highway near the village of Krasne, Chernihiv region, killing 2 children aged 2 and 14.

On 7 March a 10-year-old boy was injured during a Russian artillery shelling of the Romanivskyi bridge in Irpin.

On 28 April a 10-year-old girl was wounded in the village of Tsyrkuny, Kharkiv District of Kharkiv Region, during a shelling carried out by Russian troops.

Also on 28 April 5 people, including a child, were wounded in the Russian shelling of the city of Zaporizhzhia.

It also became known that on 11 April a 9-year-old boy was wounded in Kharkiv in a Russian artillery shelling.

On 21 April a 17-year-old boy was taken to a medical facility in Dnipro Region with injuries he received as a result of shelling by the Russian occupation troops in Mariupol.

As of the morning of 29 April, at least 617 Ukrainian children became casualties of Russia’s armed aggression (219 children were killed and 398 wounded). These figures are not final, as information from the areas where active hostilities are underway and from the territories temporarily occupied by Russia is not available.

According to existing information, the greatest number of children were affected in Donetsk Region (139), Kyiv Region (115), Kharkiv Region (95), Chernihiv Region (68), Kherson Region (44), Mykolaiv Region (43), Luhansk Region (37), Zaporizhzhia Region (27), Sumy Region (17), the city of Kyiv (16), and in Zhytomyr Region (15).
