Kharkiv Region suffers from Russia’s artillery fire: 1 dead, 8 wounded

On Wednesday, 27 April Russian troops carried out 11 artillery attacks on Kharkiv; they continued shelling Kharkiv on Thursday, 28 April.

Details: Industrialnyi and Kyivskyi were the Kharkiv neighbourhoods that were affected by Russian fire. The enemy also deployed artillery, mortars, and tanks to attack the neighbourhood of Kulynychi. In Kharkiv Region, Derhachi, Zolochiv, and Chuhuiv came under Russian fire.

Russian troops deployed multiple rocket launchers, 122mm mortars, and artillery.

8 people were wounded and 1 person killed in Russian shelling of Kharkiv Region on 27 April.

On the morning of Thursday, 28 April Russian troops continued shelling Kharkiv; Kharkiv residents are urged to remain in shelters.

As for hostilities in the region: active fighting continues in Izyum. Russian occupying forces are intensifying the offensive and attempting to advance on the Sulyhivka – Nova Dmytrivka and Avdiivka – Velyka Komyshuvakha frontlines. The Armed Forces of Ukraine are courageously holding the line of defence.

Meanwhile rescue workers continue to neutralise unexploded ordnance. On 27 April they destroyed 53 shells, including delayed action mines, in residential neighbourhoods.

Despite everything else going on in the region, humanitarian aid is still being supplied to the citizens of Kharkiv and residents of communities across Kharkiv Region. Nova Poshta and Ukrposhta [Ukraine’s private and state mail delivery services] branches are operating across the region.
