According to Haidai: "The Russian army struck at the peaceful homes of Luhansk residents 29 times. It deployed aviation, volley-fire systems, artillery and mortar weapons.

The enemy shelled Popasna and Lysychansk 10 times, and shelled Hirske hornada [municipal territorial community] 4 times, on each occasion for a very long time.

In the morning we found out about 10 more destroyed houses in Popasna."

Details: A 58-year-old local man died in Hirske on Wednesday morning: he went out into the yard near his house and did not manage to hide from the Russian fire. An 85-year-old woman in Sievierodonetsk, and 2 men in Novodruzhesk and Lysychansk were also killed.

4 more people suffered varying degrees of injury.

According to Haidai: "Heavy shelling of Lysychansk: 13 houses were destroyed there. The city suffered from Russian fire throughout the day on 27 April.

Lysychansk is a large town. This makes it easier for the Russians to inflict damage, and harder for our rescuers to react quickly. Fires caused by shelling were burning almost throughout the whole town, which is almost 100km square."

Details: Last night 2 houses were hit directly by Russian shells, the resulting fire was extinguished.

On Wednesday afternoon, flames engulfed 8 houses at once, and in the evening Russian troops hit 3 more.

3 houses caught fire in Novodruzhesk and a shop was set alight in Sievierodonetsk.

A carpentry workshop and a transformer caught fire in Hirske; the latter can no longer be repaired. The facility is completely destroyed: local residents will have no electricity or mobile communications.

Overall, 21 fires caused by the shelling of Russian occupation troops were extinguished in Luhansk Region on 27 April.
