Nuclear war: Lavrov says “the risk is real”

On April 25, Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lavrov made a statement on the probability of nuclear war.

Details: Sergei Lavrov gave an interview to Russia's "Pervii kanal" ("Channel One Russia"). The main topics of the interview were Ukraine, NATO and the United States. The Russian official also made a statement about a potential nuclear war.
According to him, the risk of nuclear war is real, and this danger "cannot be underestimated."
Sergei Lavrov, Quote: "When the risks (of using nuclear weapons - ed.) are very, very substantial, I would not like these risks to be artificially inflated, and there are many people willing to do so. The risk is grave, it is real, it can not be underestimated."
Background:
The United States has not ruled out the use of nuclear weapons by Russia. Therefore the USA is sending a signal to Russian President Vladimir Putin that this step will have absolutely catastrophic consequences for him and Russia.
