Details: On the evening of Monday 25 April, Russian troops occupied the Kherson City Council building. The flag of Ukraine was removed from the building.
The Russian military seized the keys to the building from the buildings’ security guards; they were trying to find out what time the working day usually begins.
The mayor and employees of the City Council were given the chance to go home.
From Tuesday 26 April, the City Council will not be functioning, given that all of its premises are now temporarily controlled by Russian occupation forces.
