Russian troops driving residents out of Kherson region village – General Staff

Russian occupying troops are driving residents of Velyka Oleksandrivka in Kherson region out of their village, threatening them with forced evacuation.

Quote: "In the temporarily occupied territory of the Kherson region, in the urban-type settlement of Velyka Oleksandrivka, the occupiers announced to the local population that they must leave the settlement by 28 April. Residents who do not comply with the order will be forcibly evacuated."

Details: The Russian army is concentrating its main efforts on the South Bug area, specifically around Kherson-Mykolayiv and Kherson-Kryvyi Rih. It is regrouping its troops, consolidating on the ground, strengthening the grouping of barrel and jet artillery, and accumulating ammunition and fuel.

In the temporarily occupied territory of the Zaporizhzhia region, in the city of Enerhodar, the FSB continues to conduct filtering activities.

In the temporarily occupied territories of Kharkiv and Luhansk regions, the occupiers are engaged in looting, theft, and robbery, looking particularly for alcohol and food.

In the Donetsk and Tavriysk area, Russian forces tried, with intensified shelling, to advance deeper into the territory of Ukraine near Koroviy Yar and Rubizhne, and to develop an offensive around Zaporizhzhia. These efforts were unsuccessful, and resulted in losses of Russian military personnel.

In Mariupol, the Russians continue to destroy the city, blockading civilians and Ukrainian defenders in the Azovstal plant.

In the Slobozhanshchyna region, Kharkiv continues to be partially blockaded, its infrastructure is being destroyed, and the positions of Kharkiv region defenders are being attacked by aircraft and artillery.

Near Izium, the Russians tried to improve the tactical situation in the Andriyivka, Zavody and Dibrovne, and Kurulka areas, delivering supplies to their forces there.

There were no significant changes in the Volyn, Polissya and Siversk areas. No signs of enemy offensive formations were found there.

The General Staff also said that Russian troops launched missile and bomb strikes on military and civilian infrastructure, including by means of strategic bombers, ships, and submarines. The intention is to destroy the supply lines by which the military and technical aid from Ukraine’s partners is arriving. The strikes on railway junctions were part of this tactic.

Russia continues to increase its long-range air defence system by moving additional anti-aircraft missile systems from the territory of Russia, trying to create stocks of ammunition, goods, and special engineering equipment.

Moreover, the Russian command has not stopped looking for ways to replenish losses of personnel in units directly involved in the war in Ukraine.
