Missile strikes in Vinnytsia region: 5 dead, many wounded

Five people have been killed and 18 others injured in Russian missile strikes on railway infrastructure near the towns of Zhmerynka and Koziatyn in the Vinnytsia region.

Quote, the prosecutor's office: "On the morning of 25 April, the Russian occupying forces launched rocket attacks on transport infrastructure near the town of Zhmerynka and Koziatyn in the Vinnytsia region.
As a result of enemy shelling, 5 people have been killed and 18 injured (information is being clarified!) ".
Details: Investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine have initiated criminal proceedings [in relation to these events] in accordance with (Part 3 of Article 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - intentional acts committed in order to change the boundaries of the territory or state border of Ukraine, and which led to death and other serious consequences).
Investigators, prosecutors and other departmental services are working at the scene.
Earlier, the head of the Vinnytsia Regional Military Administration Serhii Borzov said that as a result of the Russian shelling of Zhmerynka and Koziatyn in the Vinnytsia region, there were dead and wounded.
Background:
- On the morning of 25 April, an air-raid siren was heard throughout Ukraine.
- At about 8:20 am, explosions were heard in the Zhmerynka region of Vinnytsia region, air defences were operating in the Lviv region, and fires broke out in two settlements in the Zolochiv district.
- Chairman of the Board of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" Oleksandr Kamyshyn said that on the morning of 25 April, the Russian occupiers fired on 5 railway stations in the centre and west of Ukraine; some people have been injured.
- Russian missile strikes on Lviv Oblast have caused a fire at a traction substation that provides power to Krasne railway station. Rescuers are working to extinguish the fire.
- Korosten was also hit by a missile. An explosion took place near the railway. No one was injured.
- As a result, 30 trains were delayed.
