Details : On the evening of 25 April, in the centre of Moscow, in preparation for the Victory Day parade, drivers and senior parade crews of a mechanised column will be trained without the involvement of equipment.
At 21:00, the crews will conduct a reconnaissance of the routes the temporary fleet of vehicles will use to move to the starting points and return.
As reported, "11,000 people, 131 units of military equipment, as well as 77 planes and helicopters will take part in the May 9 parade."
Full-scale nighttime rehearsals of parade crews and a mechanised column on Moscow's Red Square are scheduled for 28 April and 4 May. The dress rehearsal is scheduled for 10 am on 7 May.
Reminder: the Russian leadership plans to hold "victory parades" not only on its own territory, but also in the occupied territories of Ukraine.
Background:
- Russia launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on 24 February after 8 years of hybrid warfare .
- The Russian army continues to launch missile strikes, bomb and shell Ukrainian cities, trying to capture more and more territories of Ukraine, despite negotiations conducted by delegations and calls made by the President of Ukraine to the President of Russia to personally sit down at the negotiating table.
- Western intelligence has repeatedly reported that Russian President Vladimir Putin and his army are seeking to win " at least some kind of victory " in Ukraine before 9 May and arrange a traditional parade in Moscow.
