Missile strikes on Lviv Oblast: Traction power substation for Krasne station on fire

Russian missile strikes on Lviv Oblast have caused a fire at a traction substation that provides power to Krasne railway station. Rescuers are working to extinguish the fire.

According to Kozytskyi: "Around 08:30 on 25 April a missile strike caused an explosion at the traction substation of the Krasne railway station. SES units are working at the site of the incident; the fire is still being extinguished. There is no information about victims as of now."
Details: Head of Lviv Military Administration added that anti-aircraft missile units of the Zakhid [West] Air Force Command of Ukraine shot down another missile over Lviv Oblast.
Kozytskyi said that the missiles had been launched from the southeast; it is likely that Russian troops launched them from strategic aircraft, such as Tu-95 planes.
Background:
- On the morning of 25 April an air-raid alert was announced over all of Ukraine.
- Around 08:20 explosions were heard near Zhmerynka in Vinnytsia Oblast; air defence systems were working in Lviv Oblast; and fires erupted in 2 towns in Zolochiv District, Lviv Oblast.
- Oleksandr Kamyshyn, chairman of the board of Ukrzaliznytsia [Ukrainian Railways], said that the Russian occupation forces had fired on 5 railway stations in central and western Ukraine on the morning of 25 April and that there were wounded.
- As a result of the Russian shelling of Zhmerynka and Koziatyn in Vinnytsia region, there are dead and wounded.
