At least 215 Ukrainian children have been killed and more than 391 have been injured in Russia's attack on Ukraine.

Quote: "As of the morning of 25 April, more than 606 children in Ukraine have fallen victim to the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. According to official data, 215 children have been killed and more than 391 have been injured.

These numbers are preliminary, as work is ongoing to identify victims in places of active hostilities and in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories."

Details: Most children were injured in Donetsk (124), Kyiv (114), Kharkiv (93), Chernihiv (66), Kherson (44), Mykolaiv (43), Luhansk (37), Zaporizhzhia (27), Sumy (17) , Zhytomyr (15) regions and the city of Kyiv (16).

Specifically, on 24 April as a result of shelling by the troops of the Russian Federation, two girls aged 5 and 14 were killed in the village of Krasnohorivka, Donetsk region.

On 23-24 April, Russian invaders shelled Kharkiv Region again. An 11-year-old boy was injured in the shelling of the city of Chuguiv.

On 23 April, a 12-year-old child was injured in shelling in the village of Turove, Bohodukhiv district, Kharkiv Region.

As a result of the daily bombings and shelling of Ukrainian towns and villages by the Russian armed forces, 1,500 educational institutions have been damaged, 102 of those have been completely destroyed.

Previously:

  •         Authorities estimated that as of 27 March, nearly 5,000 people had been killed in Mariupol, including about 210 children.
  •         As of 12 April, the loss of life in Mariupol was estimated at 20,000-22,000 people. It is currently impossible to establish the exact number of victims.
