According to Ariefiev: "The enemy troops are attempting to concentrate their efforts on Huliaipole.
The enemy troops are reinforcing their command system and air defence.
They continue to fire on the positions of our troops with mortars, artillery, and rocket-propelled grenade launchers along the entire line of contact.
They are carrying out air strikes from operational and tactical aircraft. But thanks to the Ukrainian military, the enemy is suffering losses."
Details: Ariefiev reported that bombardment of Vasylivka started around 10:00 on Easter Sunday, 24 April.
According to the local residents, the missiles hit places that just days ago were announced as locations where pasky [traditional Easter breads] would be blessed; the attack started as soon as the Easter service had begun. Meanwhile Russia falsely claimed that the attacks on civilians were being carried out by the Ukrainian troops.
Over 20 tonnes of humanitarian aid and technical equipment necessary for the operation of the nuclear and thermal power stations were delivered to Enerhodar.
"In Melitopol some neighbourhood commandants and buildings superintendents are joining the ranks of informers, as well as those somehow offended [by the local government], including those who have been fired from their jobs. There was an informer in the locomotive depot. Using the information he provided, the occupation administration has already arrested some depot employees," Ariefiev’s message says.
The Russian occupiers are introducing measures to limit the rights and freedoms of civilians in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine, in particular limiting their freedom of movement.
Russian forces in Melitopol announced that from 30 April, entry and exit to Russian-occupied Crimea will be banned.
This decision was approved to ensure that the spring enlistment campaign in the occupied territories runs smoothly, since many men are leaving the Russian-occupied territories of Ukraine for Crimea in order to travel further to Poland, Georgia, and the Baltic states [Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia].
The occupation militia began its work in Dniproprudne; its staff raised a red flag by its headquarters.
Ariefiev also said that "Russians, with the help of activists from the Dity Viyny [Children of the War] civil society organisation and Veterany [Veterans] club, organised a delivery of Easter pasky [traditional Easter breads] to the veterans of the so-called ‘Great Patriotic War’. They captured the process on video and photo for the Russian media. The terms of delivery for the sweet treats are unclear."
