President Volodymyr Zelenskyy of Ukraine emphasised that Ukraine will liberate all of its territories currently occupied by Russia as soon as it has enough weapons.

According to Zelenskyy: "My personal opinion, my opinion as a human and, most crucially, as a president, is that all the territories they [the Russian troops] advance on and all the territories that they, God forbid, occupy – we will liberate all of them. And this will not take 10-20 years or 8 years like the war that started in 2014.

This is a question of whether we have weapons. As soon as we have them, as soon as we have enough of them, believe me, we will immediately begin liberating our temporarily occupied territories."

Details: President Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian troops are liberating every town and village that they can in the east of Ukraine and in Kharkiv Region.

"Each day we might unfortunately lose some ground to Russia due to the strength of certain military units, but during the night or on the following day we reclaim those cities, towns, and villages, and we continue advancing," he said.

At the same time, Zelenskyy stressed that the Armed Forces of Ukraine cannot advance where they do not have the support of Ukraine’s partners – the support that has long been publicly discussed and has been discussed behind the scenes even longer.

"But right now we are seeing a change in the attitude of our Western partners. In particular, I see changes in the speed [of response] of the United States of America. And if this speed increases in accordance with the promises we are given, if their deeds follow their words, as should be the case for any honest person and any leader, then I am convinced that we will be able to de-occupy our territories sooner," the President said.
