Kharkiv: shelling this afternoon injures 6 people; 3 people killed in suburbs

The military administration has confirmed that 6 civilians have been injured as a result of shelling by the Russian occupiers and 3 people have been killed near Chuhuiev and Derhachi.

Quote from Syniehubov: "The enemy unfortunately continues to shell our residential areas and housing estates, streets and warehouses. Saltivka, North Saltivka and other districts have been hit again.
Our units from the State Emergency Service and the emergency medical services are working extremely hard to evacuate the wounded and clear up after the shelling and destruction.
Unfortunately, we have 6 people injured, and 3 people have been killed – these are in the Derhachi and Chuhuiev districts."
Details: The head of the administration urged residents not to leave their homes at night during the curfew. According to him, the aggressor is planning provocations for Easter.
The authorities have agreed with church leaders that all vigil services will be cancelled.
In addition, Syniehubov called on people not to go outside even during the day on 24 April due to potential provocations and shelling by the aggressor. He assured people that the military and police would be on guard near churches and military facilities in order to monitor the security situation.
Background:
- In the afternoon, local authorities reported that Russian shelling in north-western areas of Kharkiv had started fires in warehouses, and that four people had been injured.
- The Armed Forces of Ukraine have dislodged Russian occupiers from three villages north of Kharkiv.
- A curfew has been declared throughout Kharkiv Region from 8 pm on 23 April to 5 am on 24 April due to the threat of provocations. Church services will be broadcast online.
