Kharkiv: 4 wounded in Russian shelling of the city

Russian occupying forces have shelled the city of Kharkiv, wounding 4 civilians; another 2 people were wounded in a village not far from Chuhuiv.

Details: On the afternoon of Saturday 23 April, Russian occupying forces shelled Kharkiv, causing fires in the northwestern neighbourhoods of the city. According to eyewitnesses interviewed by Suspilne reporters, warehouse facilities and a private farmstead are on fire.
Initially, there were reports that 4 people had been killed in the shelling. Viktor Zabashta, Director of the Emergency Medical Centre, said, however, that 4 people were wounded in the Kharkiv shelling, not killed.
There is information about 2 wounded civilians in the Chuhuiv municipal territorial community (hromada).
Background:
- On 21 April, Russian troops shelled Kharkiv’s eastern outskirts, killing 2 civilians and injuring 7.
- Kharkiv Military Administration reported a total of 56 incidents of shelling by the Russian occupiers in Kharkiv Region and the city of Kharkiv on 22 April alone. Ukrainian defenders drove the occupiers out of 3 villages southwest of Kharkiv.
