Russia is disseminating fake news about chemical or biological attacks in Ukraine

The Centre for Countering Disinformation at the National Security and Defence Council warns that Russia is continuing psychological operations to fuel panic in Ukraine.

Details: On 23 April, the Russian Defence Ministry has claimed that "the United States is preparing false flag operations in order to accuse the Russian military of using chemical, biological or nuclear weapons in Ukraine."
According to the Russian military, "the most likely option is a false flag operation" at chemical and biological facilities in Kharkiv and Kyiv, at Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant and at a radioactive waste storage in the settlement of Kamyanske.
According to the Russian Defence Ministry, the evidence for this is the fact that Ukraine is being supplied with antidotes to toxic substances [by its allies].
Ukrainian experts explain that the planting of such information is a part of the information and psychological warfare of the Russian Federation. It is aiimed at instilling panic among Ukrainians, as well as putting pressure on the world community to reduce the level of support for Ukraine.
