Almost three quarters of the population have left the [Ukrainian-]controlled territory of Donetsk Region - currently there are about 430 thousand people left.

Details: Prior to 24 February, there were 1.67 million permanent residents in Donetsk Region.
It should be noted that "if you take, for example, Kramatorsk, the largest city in the region after Mariupol, a little over 40,000 residents remain out of 200,000."
