Mariupol: Russian occupying forces bomb and shell “Azovstal”

In Mariupol, the Russian occupying forces are bombing and shelling the territory of the "Azovstal" plant, where civilians are staying. They are also shooting in another part of the city.

Details: According to Andriushchenko, the Russians planned to kill all the people hiding in "Azovstal".
According to him, people can be saved only if foreign partners intervene and provide security guarantees for evacuation.
Background:
- On 21 April, Russian authorities showed a video in which Russian Defence Minister Sergey Shoigu allegedly sat with Russian President Vladimir Putin to report on the successful capture of Mariupol. Putin advised not to storm "Azovstal", but to besiege defenders and civilians.
- Zelenskyy responded that the Russian occupiers controlled much of the city, but did not take full control of Mariupol.
- On 20 April, Ukraine managed to evacuate people from Mariupol in 4 evacuation buses.
- The British Ministry of Defence has warned that the Russian military will try to achieve any victory on Victory Day on 9 May. Their plans may include encircling and destroying defenders of Mariupol and civilians hiding in the last surviving bunkers.
