Despite the very difficult situation in Mariupol, the defenders of the city have managed to destroy 3 tanks, 2 armoured vehicles and armoured infantry vehicles of the Russian occupiers in two days.

Background:
- Mariupol has been blockaded since 1 March. On 12 April, a special operation enabled a division of the 36th Independent Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces to break through the Russian encirclement and join the "Azov" Regiment at the "Azovstal" plant, while some were captured [by Russians].
- The Russian army strikes "Azovstal" with heavy bombs. On 19 April, Sviatoslav Palamar (known as Kalyna), deputy commander of the Azov Regiment, said that the "Azovstal" plant had been almost completely destroyed and that fighters were pulling people out from under the rubble.
