Details: Kim said that 1 person was killed and 2 were wounded in last night’s shelling of Mykolayiv.
The aftermath of the attack is being cleared away.
The head of the Regional State Administration also said that he is often asked about people’s general mood. He tried to explain it by comparing the war to Covid-19, saying that people are currently getting used to the war.
According to Kim: "Remember when we first heard of the coronavirus – two people got sick somewhere, the entire country was wearing masks, using antiseptic, disinfecting clothes after work. You’d be killed if you so much as sneezed anywhere, according to memes from that time. That’s how it was during the first days.
Then after a year or two everyone said, whatever, everyone around me is sick. Our people are like that: ‘I’ve already had it, now I’m not afraid of it’.
So we have a similar situation right now. I wouldn’t say it’s good or bad. We have a similar attitude to being shelled every day. We’re used to it now. In any case, we no longer have this fear of the unknown. We know what can happen and we’re no longer afraid."
