Luhansk region: Russian troops shell Novodruzhesk, gas supply disrupted

Russian troops have shelled Novodruzhesk, destroying residential buildings and interrupting the gas supply to the city.

According to Haidai: "Just after midnight the Russians opened fire on residential buildings. Two caught fire in the centre of the city. We are still confirming how many more were damaged by the flying debris or the explosion wave.

Pipes supplying gas to the city were breached. In the morning, the emergency services will check how quickly they can be repaired."

Details: Novodruzhesk is very close to Lysychansk.

On the night of 19-20 April Russian troops also shelled Hirske several times.

3 more high-rise apartment buildings have been cleared of mines in Lysychansk.
