Quote: "No crime will go unpunished. Today, no one in the world, except the perpetrators of the tragedy, has any doubt that the immensely savage and barbaric acts in Irpin, Bucha and other cities of Ukraine were committed by the Russian military. There should be harsh legal assessment, in addition to political and moral condemnation."

Details: Investigators of the State Bureau of Investigations inspected about 700 hectares of the city's Kyiv region, which includes more than 10,000 houses and buildings. These are mostly residential areas, where there were few infrastructure facilities, but only schools, hospitals, and kindergartens.

It has been established during the investigative actions that there is irrefutable evidence of crimes against humanity by representatives of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the territory of Irpin.

In particular, it is the use of munitions prohibited by the Geneva Convention, unjustified cruelty, and mass extermination of the population. Also during the investigation, a large number of Russian weapons and ammunition, military supplies, documents and other signs of belonging have been found.

Among other things, investigators have found 13 burials of citizens.

Use of the following against civilians in residential areas has been documented:

  • anti-personnel mines, tank shells and multiple rocket launchers such as the Grad multiple rocket launcher;
  • Iskander mobile short-range ballistic missile systems;
  • artillery shrapnel projectiles equipped with arrow-shaped striking elements and other prohibited weapons.

All these facts are properly documented and recorded.

It is stated that then the Bureau's investigative group went to the Sumy region, where they will continue to record crimes in the settlements of the region together with representatives of the National Police.
