Secretary of National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine, Oleksiy Danilov called long-range missiles the most dangerous type of Russian weapons for the civilian population.
Source: Oleksiy Danilov, cited by Interfax-Ukraine
Verbatim: "As for long-range missiles, they are dangerous for us. They pose a danger to civilians and infrastructure."
Details: As an example, he cited the attack on Lviv on April 18 with missiles fired from the Caspian Sea.
According to Oleksiy Danilov, Russia still has such missiles at its disposal, although many have already been used. At the same time, Russia no longer has the capacity to produce new long-range missiles, according to Oleksiy Danilov. Their production requires imported components.
Verbatim: "After the imposition of sanctions, Russia will lose the capacity to produce these missiles for many years."
"However, Russia still has "Tochka-U" missile systems, which they (Russian military authorities -ed.) allegedly reported as decommissioned. That’s complete nonsense. Unfortunately, they have a helluva lot."
