The biggest opposition force, the United National Movement, is not represented in the parliamentary delegation due to the conflict between the UNM and the majority Georgian Dream. It did however send its own delegation

Following the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the relationship between Ukraine and Georgia deteriorated because of the latter’s reluctance to condemn Russia’s actions.

Lately, the relationship has also been affected by the possible transit of supplies for the Russian army through the territory of Georgia.
