Quote: "We have published a lot of [information on] mass graves, and, unfortunately, we record that this is the burial of people killed with small arms. We have understood that during the occupation, the Russian army established a regime, tried to find people who have influence in the community, to make them work for Russia."

Details: According to him, the police have been finding the bodies of killed Ukrainians in the open air, on the streets of villages and towns, and in temporary burials.

Police patrols are working in all 180 settlements of the Kyiv region that were temporarily captured by Russian troops. On the spot, law enforcement officers are searching for infiltrators, looters, and recording the consequences of crimes and destruction caused by Russian occupying forces.

  • On 12 April, Niebytov reported that investigators and local authorities had identified 720 bodies of civilians and another 200 were missing.
  • In an interview with the BBC, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that it was increasingly less likely that peace talks with Russia would yield any results after the horrible crimes Russian occupying troops committed in Mariupol and the towns and villages of the Kyiv region.
