Russian forces have already lost nearly 20,000 soldiers and a hundred and fifty planes and helicopters apiece.

Details: Total combat losses of the Russian Army from 24 February to 13 April are estimated to be:

• Personnel - about 19800 persons
• Tanks - 739 units
• Armoured combat vehicles - 1,964 units
• Artillery systems - 358 units
• Rocket launchers - 115 units
• Air defence systems - 64 units
• Aircraft - 158 units
• Helicopters - 143 units
• Motor vehicles - 1,429 units
• Ships/boats - 7 units
• Fuel and lubricant tanks - 76
• Operational/tactical level UAVs - 132
• Special vehicles - 25
• Short-range ballistic missile/battlefield rocket launchers - 4
