Details: On 11th April, at about 3 pm, the police received a report that a car had exploded by the highway in the village of Krasne, Chernihiv district.

At the scene, police discovered that a 64-year-old local resident had been driving from the village of Ladynka to Krasne. In the village he spotted some acquaintances, decided to stop and drove off the road onto the roadside. There the car went over an anti-tank mine. Unfortunately, the driver died on the spot as a result of the explosion.

The police, under the procedural guidance of the prosecutor's office, has started criminal proceedings for violation of the laws and customs of war.

Law enforcement officers urge citizens to be extremely careful and cautious, especially in areas that have been temporarily occupied by the Russian troops.

The Russian occupying forces have left many explosive traps, mines and dangerous objects.

Police strongly urge locals to return to these settlements only after specialists have inspected all roads and buildings.

Quote: "Do not go to places that may be mined - such as roadsides, forest strips and unploughed fields. If you see a suspicious object or something that may contain explosives - call the police or rescue services immediately".
