Yermak calls the battle for Donbas a key moment in the war

Andriy Yermak, the Head of the President's Office, considers the battle for Donetsk and Luhansk regions to be a key moment in the war.

Quote: "The battle for Donetsk and Luhansk regions is a key moment of the war that will change a lot for everyone.

For Ukraine, this is an opportunity to deprive Russia of the ability to continue aggression by defeating their army. And to irreversibly change the course of hostilities.

For the Kremlin, this battle is the only chance for their myth of military power to exist. And for some primitive political elites, it is an opportunity to continue their existence.

For the West, this is also a fundamental battle, because our victory depends on the speed of decision-making on weapons. And it is this speed that will mark the effectiveness of a democratic system in the fight against autocracy ".

Details: Yermak emphasised that the West can’t afford to lose, just like Ukraine.

"For us, this is a patriotic war. And in the eyes of Western nations, it is a war of light and darkness, and they are also evaluating the effectiveness of their leaders in these events," he said.

The Ministry of Defence of Ukraine believes that the possibility of Russian troops’ resuming their offensive on Kyiv will depend on the outcome of the fighting in eastern Ukraine.
