Kharkiv remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, in the Izyum region border guards repelled an attack on a checkpoint and captured an infiltrator

Ukrainian troops continue to control the city of Kharkiv, fighting continues in the Izyum region. Ukrainian border guards have repelled an attack by an invading sabotage and reconnaissance group near the town of Andriyivka.

The city of Kharkiv continues to be controlled and defended by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. The invaders are not carrying out active offensive operations. They continue to launch missile and bomb strikes on residential infrastructure on the outskirts of the city.

Over the past 24 hours Russian occupation forces have fired more than 50 artillery and rocket-propelled grenades at the suburbs of Oleksiyivka, Pyatykhatky, Pivnichny Shosse, Belgorodsky Shosse, Kholodnaya Gora, Dergachi, Pivnichna and Yuzhnaya Saltivka.

At approximately 9.25 pm last night Russian fighter jets arriving from the city of Belgorod, Russia, attacked the city of Izyum. Thanks to the coordinated actions of units of the Ukrainian Air Defence Forces the planes retreated. There are no casualties among the personnel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Fighting continues in the Izyum region. The invaders are constructing pontoon bridges across the Seversky Donets and Berek rivers.

The Ukrainian military has repelled the enemy in the direction of Dergachi. At night the Land Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces together with the units of the National Guard and Territorial Defence counter-attacked the invaders’ artillery and rocket-propelled grenade launchers. These were firing systematically at the outskirts of Kharkiv.

Having not succeeded in resisting, the occupiers fled and abandoned their heavy weapons.

Part of the invader’s personnel managed to escape to the forests in the direction of the Russian city of Belgorod. The Ukrainian authorities are appealing to locals to be vigilant and, if possible, to facilitate the search for fugitives.

Also, a battle took place overnight between the servicemen of the State Border Guard Service and invader’s sabotage and reconnaissance groups in the village of Andriyivka in Balakliia district. The invaders attacked the checkpoint.

As a result of the battle, the enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group was completely defeated, and the personnel of the group began to flee. While fleeing, they abandoned their wounded comrade-in-arms in the middle of the field. He was taken prisoner by Ukrainian border guards.
