Peter Maurer, President of The International Committee of the Red Cross, assures that he makes every effort to organize humanitarian corridors to and from Mariupol.

Details: "Residents of Mariupol and other cities of Ukraine, surrounded by the enemy, need food, water and medical care! We need to organize the evacuation of civilians together," – Prime Minister underlined.

Previously: On March 8, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy complained that the International Committee of the Red Cross banned Ukraine to use its emblem on vehicles for evacuation of people from Ukrainian cities surrounded by Russian invaders.

Earlier, Iryna Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for the Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories, stated that the International Committee of the Red Cross, which was supposed to help secure humanitarian corridors, was not fulfilling its main purpose because of fear of Russia.
