Ukraine’s transport infrastructure suffers $10bn losses since the beginning of the war

Ukraine’s transport infrastructure has suffered losses worth billions of hryvnias as a result of the Russian invasion.

Details: It will take one or two years to restore the largest elements of the transport infrastructure.

As of last week, the losses of transportation infrastructure alone (roads, bridges, railways, equipment and airports) have exceeded $10 billions.

According to Kubrakov, to restore this infrastructure Ukraine will be relying on the world’s assistance: "It is obvious that this tragedy is not ours, this war is not ours – Ukraine is protecting the interests of the entire world. In the same way, it will not be us alone who will be rebuilding our country."

The minister thinks that it will be possible to rebuild most of the parts of the infrastructure within a year; the largest and most complex ones within two.

"We will definitely win and will definitely rebuild everything," Kubrakov concluded.
