Russia threatens to halt supplying gas through ‘Nord Stream-1’

Russia may ban the flow of gas through Nord Stream 1 in response to sanctions against Nord Stream 2.
This was reported by Russian media citing Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak.
"We understand that due to the unfounded accusations against Russia of the energy crisis in Europe and the introduction of a ban on ‘Nord Stream 2’, we have every right to make a "mirror" decision and impose an embargo on pumping gas through the gas pipeline ‘Nord Stream 1’, which is currently loaded at maximum capacity," he said.
"We haven’t adopted this decision yet. No one will benefit from it. Although European politicians with their statements and accusations against Russia are pushing us to do so," Novak added.
