The attempt to organise a humanitarian corridor out of Russian-occupied Irpin, Bucha, and Hostomel has resulted in the evacuation of some 2,000 people, but more than 4,000 still need to be evacuated from the outskirts of the capital.

Quote: "70% of Irpin is under our control. A third of the city [Irpin] is under Russian control. Today there was an attempt to create a humanitarian corridor from Irpin, Bucha, Hostomel.
About 2,000 people were evacuated. This is a great breakthrough for us, because these people were hostages of the Russian Federation. But unfortunately, more than 4,000 people remain in the occupied territories near Kyiv– Makariv, Hostomil, part of the Borodyanka district, and elsewhere."
Details: Denisenko said that the authorities are doing everything possible to evacuate civilians, but "the Russians are doing everything in their power to ensure that we do not have humanitarian corridors."
