Russian helicopter shot down over Kyiv Reservoir

Ukrainian defenders shot down a helicopter belonging to the Russian occupying forces over the Kyiv Reservoir in Vyshhorod.

Details: Ukrainian defenders have reported another aircraft downed over Vyshgorod.

In the morning, the General Staff reported that the invaders were preparing to attack Vyshgorod.

The city near the Kyiv Reservoir is home to a hydroelectric power plant and a pumped storage station.

In the first days of the war, Ukrainian defenders also shot down several helicopters over the reservoir and the Mezhyhirya residence of fugitive President Viktor Yanukovych a few kilometres from the city.

It is also known that the invading forces were firing near the local dam. Due to the potential threat, the water in the reservoir may have to be drained.
