According to Podolyak: "He will definitely not leave Kyiv. He is reckless, in a good way. He is not afraid. He thinks that he must remain in the midst of everything, in the heart of the country."
Details: Podolyak also commented on foreign media reports about attempts on Zelenskyy’s life. According to him, the president’s counter-intelligence is in control of the situation.
According to Podolyak: "The Times has reported on two attempts on the president’s life. I think in reality there have been many more, because there was only one primary target in the first three days.
[Russia’s] main goal was to exert outward pressure on Kyiv, to enter the city and try to destroy Volodymyr Zelenskyy. But the Staff General of the Russian Federation did not manage to do that at that time, and now there is no point."
Details: Podolyak thinks that Vladimir Putin has absolutely no grasp of the internal situation in Ukraine and has misconceptions about the President of Ukraine. Podolyak also criticised Russia’s intelligence and counter-intelligence, which have been "telling Putin tales."
According to Podolyak: "Our president is a person of great integrity, he can withstand any blow that comes his way. He will not break under the influence of some external factors."
Background: President Volodymyr Zelensky has survived at least three attempts on his life since the beginning of Russia’s invasion in Ukraine, according to the UK’s Times.
