Ukrainian Army Forces destroy large group of Russian troops on advance to Kyiv - Office of the President

A large group of Russian troops that were supposed to advance on Kyiv had been formed between Kharkiv and Sumy. It is no longer there, said Oleksiy Arestovych, an adviser to the President's Chief of Staff.

Arestovych said: "A huge operational group was uncovered by us between Kharkiv and Sumy. It is now gone. They were partly killed, partly pushed back [in the direction] of Kharkiv, and stopped there, partly retreating to lick their wounds.
"There is no need to be afraid. The Russian army is not strong, it is just long. We will eat them slowly, like a salami."
Details: Arestovych added that Russia's operational capabilities are very far from massive bombings and final assaults, if any at all.
According to the adviser, Russian troops have hardly advanced in the last 24 hours, and they have failed to advance through small suburbs such as Bucha and Hostomel in 10 days.
