Humanitarian aid has not yet arrived in the city of Mariupol in the Donetsk region, which remains blockaded by the Russian occupying forces. An aid shipment is currently halted in one of the towns in the Zaporizhia region.

According to Ihnatchenko: "A delivery of humanitarian supplies has not yet arrived in Mariupol, which is blockaded by the Russians: last night it halted in a small town in the Zaporizhia region. It is dangerous to drive in the middle of the night. Several drivers refuse to go any further at all – we are urgently looking for someone to replace them. As soon as the ceasefire is confirmed, the column will leave for Mariupol."

Details: According to Ihnatchenko, Russia, meanwhile, is spreading disinformation. For example, that troops in the Azov Battalion allegedly "planted mines in schools."

The occupiers have taken the city of half a million people hostage while also trying to maintain the illusion of being the region’s "peacekeepers" on their state TV.

According to Ihnatchenko: "Hold on, city! The Hero City of the Russian-Ukrainian war." [Mariupol was awarded Hero City status by Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday 6 March.]
