President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has spoken in a video message about a special package of support for business and employees.

"The government of Ukraine is already working on how to rebuild our country. After the victory. How to give more strength to the country - while we are fighting. A special package of assistance has been created. For businesses and employees," said the president.

Zelenskyy said that individual entrepreneurs in the first and second tax groups are completely exempted from paying social security contributions.

Companies and individual entrepreneurs in the third tax group are exempt from paying social security contributions on employees who have been engaged in the Armed Forces and other protective formations, including territorial defence.

"We are implementing exemption from land tax and rental payments for state and communal land in all areas where there is fighting. All this - during martial law and for at least a year after its end," - added Zelenskyy.

In addition, he said that payment of taxes for all enterprises that are unable to pay them is postponed.

"And this is only the first part of the large aid package. Government support. All leaders of the central government have a clear task: to develop a system of action so that the recovery of Ukraine is rapid. But focused on the people.

To get us all back to normal work. When we return to peace," he said.

Zelenskyy also thanked all the owners and managers of enterprises, "who continue to work and fulfil their obligations to employees."

"To pay salaries to people - even if the company is no longer working as before - means protecting Ukraine. The state is fulfilling all its obligations. Indexed pensions have already been paid to people. Salaries in the public sector are being paid as they should," he said.
